Being a lifelong Razorbacks fan fills me with pride and excitement. The 2024 signing class announcement has all of us Hog fans buzzing. Head Coach Dave Van Horn and his team have crafted a first-class group of promising Arkansas high school and junior college players.1
This year, they proudly presented a group of 19 recruits. Perfect Game rated them 18th nationally. It shows the hard work of Van Horn, Nate Thompson, Matt Hobbs, and Bobby Wernes. The team includes 10 pitchers and 9 position players, from many places.1

Steele Eaves shines as a right-handed pitcher for Lonoke High School in Lonoke, Ark. He’s carried the Jackrabbits on his back for two seasons. In 2023, he set a state record with 134 strikeouts in just 76 innings, with a perfect 13-0 record. His efforts led Lonoke to the 4A state championship.4 According to Prep Baseball Report, he’s the fourth best prospect and the top catcher in Arkansas. Eaves has already decided to continue his playing career with the Razorbacks at the University of Arkansas, thanks to an academic scholarship.
